The origin of the obsidian palace is that the king's wife passed due to some mystery source and the king decided to remarry to someone else.  This new person happened to be the source of the former queens passing but the king realized too late a passed away.  This left the throne to a tyrant and all bots come from this time considered the obsidian days meaning unbreakable.
